The Rocks

The rocks are the important things---your family, your partner, your health and well-being, your children--anything that is so important to you that if it were lost, you would be devastated.

On Feb 21 one of my "rocks" went missing in Maui and I haven't been the same since. This "rock" has been in my life for 30 years and has been like the sister I never had. During these 30 years, we have had so many good times, shared so much laughter and silliness and I feel very fortunate to have that with her. My rock has not been located yet, but I am still hopeful.

No matter what happens, her wonderful spirit and brightness will always be in my heart.

During the 30 year time span we have known each other, at times I have had "rocks" in my life but maybe not so many "pebbles" and then other times I have had more "pebbles" and not so many "rocks". When un-imaginable things like this happen in your life, it really makes you take a step back and re-examine it. It makes you really stop and think in the big picture of life does all the little stuff matter? I am here to tell you that the ROCKS matter...they are the most important things in life.

Tell the rocks in your life you are thankful and you love them.
